FAQ

Who is the congress for?

EAWOP 2023 is the premier event in Europe for Work and Organizational Psychologists in academia and in practice. We welcome delegates from around the world and those with an interest in our science and practice from allied fields such as HR and Health and Safety.

Can I submit a paper or poster if I am not a member of EAWOP?
Anyone may make a submission. See here for submission guidelines which describes relevant topics for inclusion in the congress programme. If your submission is accepted after the review process and included in the programme, the presenting author must be registered for the congress with a 3-day package that includes membership of EAWOP (or associate membership if you are not eligible for full membership).

How do I make a submission to the congress?
We are developing an on-line submission system to use for all submissions. This will be live towards the end of June. Meanwhile the submission guidelines are available here. These explain the different submission categories available and what should be included in your submission.

a) It is still current or has been updated to be so (e.g. takes account of newly published research findings)
b) It has not been published elsewhere or presented at another international conference.

What is the correct length of the abstract?

The 750-word abstract is converted to 5000 characters in the Submission system. Respectively - 500-word abstract is converted into 3500 characters. The character limit includes the blanks.

I am the first author of a submission but cannot now attend the congress.  Can one of my co-authors present the paper?

Yes, that is fine.  Please let us know who the presenting author will be so we can amend our database – otherwise the submission may be removed from the programme after the deadline for presenting authors to register (1st April).
